Vouchers in a Sale (if enabled for your store)
Voucher selling now uses the shared Sale cart. The old standalone Voucher sale screen is retired — the sidebar Vouchers entry and the floating Sell Voucher action both land on New sale.
Sell a Voucher
- Open New sale, or use the Sale already linked to a Visit.
- Add a Voucher line — pick the catalog item and one customer/beneficiary. There is no recipient or delivery form.
- Review the frozen sale price.
- Open the Sale and complete checkout with an allowed real tender.
- Confirm with your personal PIN.
The Voucher is issued only after the Sale checkout succeeds. Its line receives its own Invoice, the Payment is allocated to that Invoice, and electronic delivery has a separate status. A network retry with the same request does not issue a second Voucher.
Redeem a Voucher for a service
Applying a Voucher to a service line is implemented server-side but has no control in the current POS checkout screen. When it runs, the server checks status, Store sharing, beneficiary and remaining value. Any unused value remains on the Voucher. Voucher redemption is a tender allocation; it does not change the service's menu price or Invoice.
Refund or reverse
- Refunding an unused Voucher purchase is an Admin action; POS cannot do it. The original Sale, Invoice and Payment stay visible.
- To undo a Voucher used as tender, use Reverse Redemption. This restores eligible value and appends compensating facts; it is not a cash refund.
- Part-used or uncertain cases are refused or sent to the Sale exception queue for human review.
Online orders (pay at store)
Vouchers and packages reserved on the public site are paid in store on the Online orders page (sidebar). Settle with Cash or EFTPOS — settling is idempotent, so a retry does not charge twice. Manager-approved customer cancellations and refunds of these orders are also executed from this page.
Public Voucher orders are currently pay-at-store. No online payment or PayID/PayTo provider is active.
